  • General terms and conditions

The Eindejaarscorrida Leuven (Corrida) is organised by Daring Club Leuven Atletiek (DCLA). For the Corrida to run smoothly and safely, the conditions and regulations below apply. Where it says runner(s), participant(s), volunteer(s), etc., male/female/x applies.

    Participation

    1. As a participant you declare that you are familiar with and submit to these General Terms and Conditions and the regulations.

    2. Participation in the Corrida is only possible after registration. The registration fee must be paid immediately upon registration (see terms of payment).

    3. Your registration is personal. The start number is only transferable if this is reported to the Corrida organisers in time. This transfer is free of charge and is done via the personal link received at registration.

    4. It is not allowed to run the race with a buggy, baby jogger or other baby transport. Dogs (whether leashed or not) are also not allowed to be taken along for safety reasons.

    5. The race management has the right to withdraw a participant from the race. The medical staff has the right to deny a participant (further) participation in the competition.

    6. Participants in the 12 km are deemed to have passed the Ladeuzeplein by 13h00 (for the second lap). Participants who pass after that time will be eliminated from the race.

    7. Instructions from police, race management, traffic controllers, staff and volunteers must be followed immediately and punctually. Participants must follow the designated route.

    Liability and safety

    8. Each participant takes part at his or her own risk. The Corrida accepts no liability for lost or damaged personal property. This also applies to any personal injury sustained, except as a result of the Corrida’s gross negligence.

    9. As a participant, you declare that you are familiar with the fact that participation in the Corrida requires good health in both mental and physical health.

    10. The race management has the right to change the route on certain parts or to end the Corrida early, suspend, neutralise or cancel it altogether. This may be the case in extreme weather conditions or other calamities where the run cannot reasonably go ahead. In case of cancellation, no entry fees will be refunded.

    11. Everyone is expected not to cause any damage to nature or other people’s property and not to leave any rubbish on the course.

    12. The participant indemnifies the Corrida for damages suffered by third parties as a result of an act or omission attributable to the participant in relation to the Corrida. The participant must be adequately insured against the risk of liability for said damage.

    Portrait rights and personal data

    13. DCLA records participants’ data in a file. This file is for its own use to inform participants with news about the Corrida. More info on what DCLA does with participants’ data can be found at https://corridaleuven.be/en/privacy-policy/

    14. Participants agree to inclusion in the results list and publication of images taken during the Corrida. Participants also agree to any use of likeness in print, photo, film/video, TV, digital and social media etc. for promotional purposes of the Corrida on behalf of events organised by DCLA, without claiming any compensation.

    Terms of payment

    15. Payment of registration will be made by online payment after going through the registration module. Participating teams must transfer the amount due by 1 December 2024.

    16. Participants who register before 2 December 2024 will have their bib number sent to their home address (provided the address provided is on Belgian territory). They must follow this up themselves. If the bib number has not been received by 15 December 2024, they should report this via the personal link received at registration to be allocated a new bib number. Participants who fail to do so will only be able to receive a new bib number after paying a fee of €3.00.

    Cancellation conditions

    17. You have no right of withdrawal, as tickets for sports competitions fall under the legal list of exceptions. Consequently, cancellation is not possible; only transfer of the bib number. This transfer is free of charge and is done via the personal link received at registration.

    18. In all cases not provided for in the General Conditions, the Corrida organisation will decide.

    19. Should one or some articles of these terms and conditions be void or illegal, for whatever reason, this does not affect the validity of the other parts of the terms and conditions.
