General terms and conditions
The Eindejaarscorrida Leuven (Corrida) is organised by Daring Club Leuven Atletiek (DCLA). For the Corrida to run smoothly and safely, the conditions and regulations below apply. Where it says runner(s), participant(s), volunteer(s), etc., male/female/x applies.
Participation
1. As a participant you declare that you are familiar with and submit to these General Terms and Conditions and the regulations.
2. Participation in the Corrida is only possible after registration. The registration fee must be paid immediately upon registration (see terms of payment).
3. Your registration is personal. The start number is only transferable if this is reported to the Corrida organisers in time. This transfer is free of charge and is done via the personal link received at registration.
4. It is not allowed to run the race with a buggy, baby jogger or other baby transport. Dogs (whether leashed or not) are also not allowed to be taken along for safety reasons.
5. The race management has the right to withdraw a participant from the race. The medical staff has the right to deny a participant (further) participation in the competition.
6. Participants in the 12 km are deemed to have passed the Ladeuzeplein by 13h00 (for the second lap). Participants who pass after that time will be eliminated from the race.
7. Instructions from police, race management, traffic controllers, staff and volunteers must be followed immediately and punctually. Participants must follow the designated route.
Team registrations
8. A team is always created and managed by a team coordinator. Using the personal link, the coordinator can add team members and update details of registered members. Team members can only be removed as long as the Corrida is not sold out.
9. Once registered as part of a team, the registration remains linked to that team. It is not possible to convert an individual registration into a team registration or vice versa after the fact.
10. The registration fee for all team members must be paid in full and on time, according to the instructions provided during the team registration process.
Only teams that have paid no later than 1 December 2025 will have their bib numbers sent by post. In case of later payment, bib numbers must be collected at the registration desk.
Payment must in any case be completed before 28 December 2025.
Liability and safety
11. Each participant takes part at his or her own risk. The Corrida accepts no liability for lost or damaged personal property. This also applies to any personal injury sustained, except as a result of the Corrida’s gross negligence.
12. As a participant, you declare that you are aware that participation in the Corrida requires good physical and mental health.
13. The race management has the right to change the route on certain parts or to end the Corrida early, suspend, neutralise or cancel it altogether. This may be the case in extreme weather conditions or other calamities where the run cannot reasonably go ahead. In case of cancellation, no entry fees will be refunded.
14. Everyone is expected not to cause any damage to nature or other people’s property and not to leave any rubbish on the course.
15. The participant indemnifies the Corrida for damages suffered by third parties as a result of an act or omission attributable to the participant in relation to the Corrida. The participant must be adequately insured against the risk of liability for said damage.
Portrait rights and personal data
16. DCLA records participants’ data in a file. This file is for its own use to inform participants with news about the Corrida. More info on what DCLA does with participants’ data can be found at https://corridaleuven.be/en/privacy-policy/
17. Participants agree to inclusion in the results list and publication of images taken during the Corrida. Participants also agree to any use of likeness in print, photo, film/video, TV, digital and social media etc. for promotional purposes of the Corrida on behalf of events organised by DCLA, without claiming any compensation.
Terms of payment
18. Payment of an individual registration takes place by online payment after completing the registration module. For teams, the amount due must be settled on time, in accordance with the provisions and deadlines stated under article 10.
19. Participants who register before 2 December 2025 will have their bib number sent to their home address (provided the address provided is on Belgian territory). They must follow this up themselves. If the bib number has not been received by 15 December 2025, they should report this via the personal link received at registration to be allocated a new bib number. Participants who fail to do so will only be able to receive a new bib number after paying a fee of €3.00.
Cancellation conditions
20. You have no right of withdrawal, as tickets for sports competitions fall under the legal list of exceptions. Consequently, cancellation is not possible; only transfer of the bib number. This transfer is free of charge and is done via the personal link received at registration.
21. In all cases not provided for in the General Conditions, the Corrida organisation will decide.
22. Should one or some articles of these terms and conditions be void or illegal, for whatever reason, this does not affect the validity of the other parts of the terms and conditions.
